Empties #1

For some reason, I have a huge amount of products that I've used up recently, i say recently, Really I mean about 2-3 months, Goodness knows why I've kept all the packaging instead of throwing it out, But what better excuse to write a blogpost on it.
So, Without further a do. Here it is...

Febreeze Caribbean  Paradise Room Freshener
I know, I know, You're going to think I'm weird. But honestly, I love this stuff. I literally go through bottles and bottles. It's my favourite scent in the whole entire world. I even got one of these for my birthday. You can judge me. I don't care. Just go smell it.

Soap And Glory Glam-A-Lot Body Spray

This is probably my signature scent really, I've repurchesed it so many times. It's not the most famous Soap & Glory scent, But it's by far my favourite in comparison to Mist You Madly. It smells kindof vannilery with a tiny bit of musk? (That may be completly wrong as I'm awful at describing scents.)

Superdrug Tea Tree Cleanser & Toner
I usually go for another cleanser, also by Superdrug, Same type of thing mind. This one however, I didn't massively rate. It didn't break me out or irritate my skin and it did it's job but didn't really make me go WOW! MY SKIN LOOKS GOOOOOOD!. I wouldn't repurchase this.

Schwarzkopf Gliss Hair Repair
This is a "Liquid silk express-repair-conditioner" and I would spray this in dry hair once it had been styled for as a shine spray almost. Now, This. Is. Incredible. This is the second time I've repurchased and I cannot find any more anywhere! So, if you're lucky enough to spot one, Buy it now! It left my gorgeously smooth and silky. I have natural curly hair and it really helped define the curls also.

Avon Advanced Techniques Dry Ends Serum
This is a really nice serum which I would use just after I'd washed my hair when It was wet as I think this would be too heavy for dry hair. It comes in a lovely glass bottles and a pump, isn't too runny either. Thumbs up Avon.

Charles Worthington Heat Defence Spray
I tend to buy the mini versions of heat defence spray Don't ask me why. But I ran out and after rummaging through my drawers (oo-er) i found this which I bought aggges ago. It's ok, I guess. I honestly don't have an opinion on this.

Trevor Sorbie Beautifully Straigtened Heat Defence Blow Dry Spray
Again, another mini version. This, I do have an opinion on however. I really like this product, especially (as this is what it's designed for) when I would straighten my hair. It is light, doesn't weigh my hair down and keeps my hair straight for longer.

 Directions Lilac Hair Dye

You may or may not know that I have a few different colours in my hair, have done for about 10 months now, and for a lot of that time I would use Directions hair dye. this colours in lilac. I still have a little left but i don't think I'm going to continue to dye my hair multi-colours as I want a bit of a change. I'll do a full blogpost on the Directions dye and what i prefer etc if you would like me to.

Maybelline Colossal Volume Cat Eyes Mascara
I am a huge mascara junkie, and this mascara I love. It's been well loved and treasured, hence the rubbed off packaging. This mascara is super volumising and lengthening too actually, which I wasn't expecting too much. I will probably repurchase this in the future.

Colourworks Mascara
I got this mascara in a little gift set of colourworks products for my birthday or Christmas or something, and never really gave it much thought. But recently my other mascara (see above) ran out, so I reached for this, not expecting much. Oh, How wrong I was. This is literally the best mascara I have used... And I've used a lot. This lengthens like crazy, volumises incredibly and separates your lashes, can be used alone or with multiple coats and will always create a false lash effect. Amazing.

Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfecter.
This, Is the never ending BB cream. I've had this since the very  eyer beginning of summer and It has only just ran out. This stuff is good, I liked it and for the price, lasts you forever! It gives a pretty decent coverage for a BB cream, not too sure about the whole 'Miracle Skin Perfecting' bit mind.

Neutrogena visibly Clear Rapidly Clear Spot Treatment.
I've sworn by this spot treatment for years now, And I think it's time for a change. It does work and is an incredible product, but i think my skins almost got used to this now, Does that even happen? So this shall be the last time I throw this out *sniff sniff* Unless I don't find a spot treatment as good as it.....

So, that is it everyone. My empties of the moment. i will probably have more of these coming. So i hope you like them.

Seven Deadly Sins Of Beauty Tag.

1. Greed:  What is your most inexpensive beauty item?
My most expensive beauty item is my Mac Pro Longwear Foundation. This retails at £24, which, I will admit, is a lot. But I got my make- up done at Mac for prom and this was the foundation she used (It honestly does stay on for 15 hours!) and so I got it as a gift off my mum for my birthday.
I do only use this on special occasions mind.
Excuse the smudgy packaging. I'm shade NC25 by the way.
My most inexpensive beauty item is my MUA lipstick in Shade 12. (I have many MUA products which all retail the same price so I just picked one of random) This retails at £1! Yeah, That's right £1! It;s a beautiful red colour and is surprisingly good quality and very pigminted!

2 Wrath: What beauty products do you have a love/hate relationship with?
The beauty product i have a love hate relationship with is very specific. The Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation.  This foundation I used for a long long time, However, I wass in the colour 100-Ivory (the lightest colour) and it was still too dark! I'm not the lightest girl either. The formula left streaks on my skin and was very heavy to wear. Sound horrendous? It wasn't. I only noticed this a good 8 months or so after using the product (I went through different tubes) and the coverage is phenomenal! If you have acne or a lot of discolouration in your skin you MUST give this a try!

Gluttony: What is your most delicious beauty product?
By 'Most delicious beauty product' you mean- The one that smells/tastes the nicest (although I'm not one to actually eat my make-up.) This has to go to my Gosh Cool Jam LipGloss. This smells like sweets and sugar and yumminess! Also one of my favourite lipglosses to date!

Sloth: What beauty product do you neglect, due to laziness?
The beauty product I neglect due to laziness is easily, PRIMER! I have quite a few lying around my make-up collection ,samples and things I've nicked off mates, I just can't be bothered. I never tend to wear my make-up for too long anyway, and If I want to, I use Mac Pro Longwear foundation anyway and that seems to do the job.

5. PrideWhat beauty product gives you the most self-confidence?
The beauty product which gives me the most self confidence is MASCARA! I have the most grotesque straight, blonde and short eyelashes, which need all the help they can get. Even just one coat of mascara instantly picks up my mood and makes me feel pretty!

6. Lust: What attributes do you find most attractive in the opposite sex?
As everyone has already noted- This has absolutely nothing to do with beauty, But whatever. Personally, However 'clique' this may sound I do go for personality over looks, I like someone with a good sense of humour and generally someone who can put up with me- other things as well of course. But physically, I like nice eyes (or hair), tall, muscular and nice smile. That's it really. Not too much to ask? ;)

7 Envy: What items would you most like to receive as a gift?
Personally, this struck me as a rather odd and difficult question to ask/answer. Presuming they are talking about beauty products, well, I honestly couldn't answer. I'd be happy with any gift I recieved. The only thing I can think to say is that, if you're to buy me perfume, make sure I've personally told you I like it. As I'm very picky with scents. That's it. I'd be happy with the majority of beauty items given to me as a gift.

Sorry that I'm a bit late on the bandwagon with this tag but I wanted to blog and saw the tag and just went along for the ride.

Boots Tea-Tree and Witch Hazel Moisturiser Review

I'm all for one for trying out new beauty products, In fact,  I love it. I'd purchased this a while ago as I needed a moisturiser for a couple of weeks for some reason or other.
I have combination skin which is oily around the 'T' zone. Minus the 'T' part. Basically my chin, bridge of nose and centre of forehead. This moisturiser had applied to me by saying it was a "Shine control moisturiser".
I didn't like this when I first put it on, but thought I'd give it some time as moisturiser will not work with only one application. I used this twice a day as it states to for a good two months.
This moisturiser just made me MORE OILY! even on places where I wasn't oily before. It really dried any dry areas in my skin and left the flaky. Ewww.
I honestly do not know which skin-type this would suit possibly Normal skin.
The consistency is very very watery.
I'm not sure how much this product is but i think about the £2.99 mark? Boots have actually changed their packaging for this brand but here's the full collection
Overall I really, really didn't like this product and I will not be repurchasing.
Comment below on your thoughts of this moisturiser or what blog posts you would like to see.

Too Faced- LashLight Mascara Review

Well, I purchased this product a couple of weeks ago from good olde' TKMaXX for a mere £4.50. Bargin! So obviously I had to buy it. Now I've never tried any Too Faced cosmetics before, but I'd always wanted to try them, as they have some great reviews.
Ok, First of all, Packaging...
Now I love the actual packaging of this, To be honest i love all Too Faced's packaging. The mascara comes in a  little pink box which is super cute. And the mascara looks nice and sleek and has a really handy mirror on one side- which may I add is uber handy for when you forget to chuck a mirror in your handbag.
But, now this is a big But... Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this mascara claims to actually make your eyes brighter. Now it says it does this by the light.
Ok, the light, So this mascara has a two little bulbs at the top of the wand, which can be activated ( is that the right word) by pressing a button at the top.

The light is supposed to be used when applying the mascara, Ok, this is the but... this thing blinds you when you put this on! Like totally, blinds you. I have only managed to use the light twice when applying this mascara, and it honestly gave me a headache the light so close to the eye. I personally think that if they wanted a light in the packaging, Which would be handy, they should have put it in the actual tube? of the mascara not the wand.
So that brought down my review slightly.
As for the actual mascara, I find this gives a lovely natural look. And when layered with more than one coat, it gives a lovely natural yet full finish.
Overall, I adore this mascara, without the light but not for the usual price tag of $25 ( I don't know what that converts to!)

Make Up and Skin Care Tag.

1. How often do you wash your face?
I wash my face twice daily, Once in the morning and once at night. Obviously if I'm   in some sort of chocolate spread fight or something and it gets on my face, I will wash it off.
2. Your skin type?
My skin type is combination, I don't know if it's combination to oily or dry. As my forehead is oily and along my nose, but my cheeks, under eyes and sides of nose are dry.
3. Which facial cleanser do you use?
I use the Simple cleanser (I forget it's full name) to take off my make up. I then use  the Superdrug deep action cleansing lotion to 'clean' my skin.
4. Do you use facial peels?
Do you mean facial scrubs? In that case I use a Neutrogena blackhead clearing one.
5. Which peeling product do you use?
none.
6. Which moisturiser do you use?
Currently I am using Clean&Clear dual action oil free moisturiser. But I have tried the Benefit's Triple Performing Facial Emulsion, Which I love but the price tag degrades my love slightly, don't judge me, I'm skint!
However I do fake tan and although my face is naturally tanned I do use Olay Everyday Sunshine about once every two-three weeks to give me that 'sun-kissed glow'
7. Do you have freckles?
I don't.
8. Do you use an eye cream?
Nope.
9. Do you have acne problems?
I don't have acne as in proper acne. I get spots though. Just like any other teenager, they're mainly on my forehead, chin and nose area.
10. Do you use SPF?
Only on holiday?
11. Foundation?
I absolutely love Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 hour foundation. The coverage is amazing, Blends amazing, suits my skin tone (I'm 100 Ivory by the way) I just love it.
12. Concealer?
I can never find the perfect concealer, I just can't, I'm currently testing out Rimmel's Stay Matte Dual Action Concealer, which i am forming a love/hate relationship with; the coverage is excellent and hides blemishes great. But it's matte, and because i have dry skin in some of my problem areas it isn't great.
On the higher end i do also love Erase Paste and Boi-oing both by Benefit, Although the price tag makes me want to a weep a little.

13. Do you know your skin tone?
Fair? I fake tan usually though. My face is naturally darker than my body although Ivory foundations still suit me.
14. What do you think about the false lashes?
ADORE! Especially if you have blonde, straight, stumpy lashes like me!
I'm still yet to master how to apply them...
15. What do you think about the rule of changing mascara every 3 months?
Oops...
16. Your mascara?
I'm using three... Is that bad? Hey, my eyelashes need help!
I start by applying Maybelline The Colossal Volume Cat Eyes Express mascara, just one coat. I find this mascara separates my lashes well and adds a bit of length, Although i am running out.
Next I apply Too Faced Laslight mascara (review on this soon). I apply about two coats of this.
Finally I use Rimmel Scandal Eyes mascara- this mascara is phenomenal. It makes you look like you're wearing falsies, so if you don't like that look don't get it!
17. Sephora or MAC?
Mac.
18. Which make up tool do you use mostly?
I use brushes for my make-up. I don't go splashing out on high-end brushes. I tend to just use some form Superdrug or Boots and brands like W7 do some great blending brushes.
19. Do you use eye shadow base?
I should, But I don't. I don't own one.
20. Base for face?
I have the Gosh Velvet touch primer, But I only really use this for special occasions as i find my make up stays on fairly well everyday anyway.
21. What is your favourite eye shadow?
I am using a Mac pallete at the moment, but I think it's a fake as it doesn't have the smooth packaging or the names of the eye shadows in, So unfortunately I cannot answer this.
22. Which one is your favourite: liquid or dry eyeliners?
I use Mac's Smoulder in my waterline and I really like it. But I have Topshop's Black Pen Liner which I also love...
There's only one way to find out....
FIIIGHTT!
23. Have you ever had a mascara accident?
As in smudging it on your eyelid? Check.
On your nose? Check.
Forehead? Check.
Eyebrow? Check.
Chin? Believe it or not, Check.
Poking yourself in the eye? Check.
24. What do you think about pigment eye shadows?
They look so pretty, but i cannot for the life of me use them without an incredible amount of fallout.
25. What about mineral make up?
I use Collection 2000's mineral powder, That's mineral make-up right?
26. What is your favourite lipstick?
My favourite lipsticks continues to change, at the moment they stand as;
MUA's red one.. I think it's shade 13, a basic red.
YSL-Rouge Volupte, a orange toned red.
Calvin Kleins-Luxe Delicious Truth, a "Your lips but better" shade.
27. How about lipgloss?
Again, My favourites change, but at the moment;
Collection 2000-Lock and Hold in Twisted Disco, a lilac colour.
Soap and Glory- Sexy Mother Pucker in Candy Gloss, a light neutral pink shade.
Gosh- On stage Cool Jam in 102, another light neutral pink shade.
and finally, I don't know if you can call this a lip gloss but it's going on anyway;
Collection 2000-Cream Puff in Powder Puff 2, a skin toned nude.
28. What is your favourite blush to use?
I don't wear blush. I'm convinced my skin doesn't suit them!
29. Do you buy make up from Ebay?
I haven't yet, But I'm not saying i wouldn't.
30. What do you think about drugstore products?
I love them! I'm too skint not to!
31. Have you ever considered taking a make up lesson?
I love make-up so I guess it'd be a nice thing to do, although YouTube has so far taught me everything I need to know.
32. Are you clumsy in putting make up on?
Not usually, Make up is kind of a therapy for me and i find it relaxing to put on, i take pride in my make up so no not really.
33. What's the worst make up disaster for you?
False Eyelashes.
34. Do you like bright or natural colours?
It tends to be neutral colours, Although I do like to mix things up with a bit of blue or purple on my eyeballs!
35. Which celebrities' makeup is your favorite?
I love Ke$ha, is that wrong? I wouldn't wear her make-up out but its amazing how it is done!
Otherwise, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen.
36. What would be your one and only make up material to use life long if you had to choose one?
Mascara. Those eyelashes are in love.
37. Do you ever go out without make up?
Yeah, All the time. I let my skin breath, I tend to put on make-up if I'm going out anywhere as I enjoy putting on make up. but if I'm just around where i live or doing things which doesn't require looking good. then no make up for me.
39. Which cosmetic brand do you think is the best?
I don't necessarily have one for a drug store brand, I like Collection 2000 and Gosh and Rimmel and Barry M etc etc
But for high end I have to say Benefit.
40 . What do you think about make up in general?
I think make up is fine? If it makes someone happy wearing it and they enjoy wearing it then who is anyone else to judge.
Although it is over priced.

Items I have bought recently....

Lately I decided to purchase some beauty items. Which is not something I usually do, surprising because I love make-up/beauty etc. I'm more of a clothes person.
So I thought I'd share with you what I have bought...
St Moriz fake tan. £2.99
Anti-Bacterial Wipes: 50p

L-R: Flat topped eye shadow brush W7 (£3.99), Revlon ColourBurst lip gloss in Papaya  (Not too sure how much this was), Saffron Nail Art in Orange (99p), Saffron Nail art in Silver Glitter (£1.50), W7 Blue glitter  nail polish ( I think this was £2)

TooFaced LashLight Mascara in Black, (£4.99)
I got the TooFaced mascara from TKMaxx, I'm not too sure what the original price was.
I still have the mascara, brush, wipes and fake tan to test but so far I'm loving all the other products. If you would like to see a review on any of these products or know a bit more about them, leave a comment below :)

London.

Last weekend (24th-25th) My mum and I travelled to London. The reason we did this was because we had won tickets to go to the Sport Relief concert starring; Rizzle Kicks, Olly Murs and JLS.
We flew down from Newcastle to Heathrow Airport on the Saturday morning, we then got the Tube from Heathrow (to many different places as we got lost... a lot and actually went to the wrong hotel via running across the busiest road in the world!)
After we eventually made it to our hotel. It was time for a rest.... Or not. We had to get up and out the hotel to actually go to the concert!
You can see the O2. This is just outside our hotel.

The Mother.
The concert was amazing, but unfortunately I couldn't get many decent photos, so use your imagination! I have to be honest and say That I am not actually a big fan of JLS, I like the don't get me wrong, But I am not necessarily a 'fan'. However I like Rizzle Kicks and I love Olly Murs who were both amazing. And JLS put on an amazing show. The costumes, The set, the songs, the dancing. They were great and we both had a great time.

On the Sunday, our flight home wasn't until 3 so we decided to take advantage and pop off to Camden Market, as you do. I have been to Camden a couple of times and i honestly have to say it is one of my favourite places on earth. I adore the atmosphere, the clothes, the jewellery, the bits and bobs, people and the food!
I feel so small.
Overall we had an amazing time and I got lots of lovely jubbly things!
Bye. Eilish. x

To the beach I go!

Ahh ,What a lovely day it has been in England. It's been sunny! A rare occasion for anyone who lives in England!
It's actually been beautiful weather up in the North. I don't know about anywhere else. A bit nippy but sunny nevertheless.

This morning I decided to get off my arse and give my room a bit of a spring clean. Sure, It doesn't look too different but there's no cobwebs any-more!
I hoovered.
Chucked stuff out.
And finally organised all the jewellery i have...
Three bags of rubbish later, and 2 charity bags, I was done.

After all that rigorous exercise I thought some fresh air would do me some good, So off me, the mother, father and the boyfriend trolled to the beach- dogs in toe.
Although i am nearly 16 years of age going to the beach still seems to excite me. Juts like it did when I was 4! Running up the sand dunes ( a bit more out of breath than i was when i was 4) , paddling in the sea and playing tag with the ever so willing boyfriend. Oh how I love the beach.

After a couple hours there we then stopped of to the most beautiful ice cream parlour around.. For anyone who lives up in Northumberland. Get yourself to Morwick Ice-Cream Parlour. It's amazing. really really amazing. I had a scoop of mango and a scoop of chocolate for any of you who are curious! So my Sunday has been filled with ice-cream, cleaning, tag, sea and sand.. Not to forget sun!

Lets Face Paint.

So for my Art GCSE, You have to choose a topic (Mine's 'messages') You then have to choose three different artists. Then you have to recreate one of those artists pieces... Am I making sense? Anyway, For my three artists I chose, Rene Magritte, Sylvia Ji and Emma Tooth. I now have to recre
ate those artitsts right?

From Google Images.
My attempt.
Sylvia Ji does paintings of women in the style of day of the dead skulls, See above. So to 'recreate' this painting. I decided to paint my face. You read that correctly. Paint. My. Face.

The whole thing took me over an hour- But that's probably because I messed up first time round and had to attempt to rub everything off again.
If I am being brutally honest I personally think that I look a bit like a depressed clown- but it's up for interpretation.

What do you guys think? Hehe

Exams.

Exams truly HAVE to be the most legal way to torture teenagers of the 21st century. I have three this week alone!
Physics, Biology and Chemistry. What fun?!
I have honestly spent about 7 hours over the last 2 days, crying, panicking and screaming. Why? I hear you cry. I'm stressed.
On top of revision for the dreaded exams I've had Art coursework, Performance coursework, Maths revision and a bunch of other stuff on top of that.
To be honest I think I've come to terms with the fact that I shall fail these next exams, leave school and marry a rich man? Sound like a nice life?

On the plus side. My Grandma has made me rice pudding. Mmm My favourite!

I was kidding about the whole marrying a rich man by the way ;)
